is a Finnish indie author whose science fiction stories are known for their mix of humor, suspense, and emotional depth—without relying on violence. Fueled by strong coffee and a lifelong love for storytelling, he draws from his experiences as an engineer, athlete, Green Beret, and globetrotter into immersive narratives grounded in meticulous research.
After completing Finland’s Army Long Range Surveillance training and earning a B.Sc. in Computer Science, he spent several years working at Nokia, contributing to global projects in design and production. At 35, a severe burnout left him permanently disabled. Yet with Sisu—the famed Finnish grit—he transformed adversity into his lifelong passion: storytelling.
His debut series, The Black Table, reached #1 in Amazon’s Free Action & Adventure rankings in both the UK and U.S., and has been recognized as a two times finalist and category winner in the Next Generation Indie Book Awards, as well as a nominee for the Eric Hoffer Award.
Now based in Helsinki - Finland, Anttimatti is currently working on three new books and continues to write stories that reflect his curiosity, imagination, and deep appreciation for science fiction.
